4 wounded in West Side shooting<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

4 wounded in West Side shooting:- At least eight people have been wounded in shootings in Chicago since Wednesday morning, including four people injured in one attack on the Near West Side, according to police.<\/span><\/p>\n

The four were in a parking lot in the 2700 block of West Madison Street when someone in a sedan pulled up and began shooting about 5:35 p.m., according to a police media notification.<\/span><\/p>\n

One man, whose age wasn’t immediately available, went in a private vehicle to Stroger Hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest, and was in serious condition, police said. Three other victims were taken via ambulance to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they all were in good condition: a 54-year-old man shot in the left foot; a 37-year-old man shot in the buttocks; and a 27-year-old woman shot in the left arm.<\/span><\/p>\n

The shooting took place on the northeast corner of California Avenue and Madison, and shell casings were found in the street on Madison, causing police to cordon off an area including both sides of the street and the street itself. Buses were rerouted in the area.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday morning, a gunman wounded a woman in a domestic dispute and then killed himself in the Chatham neighborhood, police said. Just before 10:15 a.m., two people were found shot in the 9100 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue on the Far South Side, police said.<\/span><\/p>\n

A 27-year-old man got into a domestic dispute with a 38-year-old woman, shot the woman multiple times, then apparently shot himself in the head, killing himself, police said. The woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she was in serious condition.<\/span><\/p>\n

In other shootings:<\/span><\/p>\n

About 8 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in the knee in the 1200 block of North Homan Avenue in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, according to police. The man suffered a gunshot wound to the left knee and was in good condition at Norwegian American Hospital. The man was walking when a vehicle drove up and someone inside fired shots, hitting him, police said.<\/span><\/p>\n

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg just after 7:10 p.m. in the 3800 block of West 26th Steet, according to a police media notification. The boy was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized. He was refusing to cooperate with investigators.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier Wednesday, a man was wounded in a South Side shooting in the Englewood neighborhood. A 27-year-old man was shot in the right calf just after 7:35 a.m. in the 7200 block of South Peoria Street, according to police. He was taken in good condition to St. Bernard Hospital, police said.<\/span><\/p>\n
