She\u2019s also determined to make sure her kids are just as aware as she is. Because for the reality star, knowledge is power \u2014 no matter your age. When speaking to Interview Magazine for her first mag cover with her daughter, Kim revealed that she\u2019s already teaching the four-year-old about race.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">When asked, \u201chow conscious are you of raising a mixed black girl in the world?\u201d the celeb, opened up about her parenting philosophy. \u201cI\u2019m very conscious of it,\u201d she told the publication. \u201cKanye always has his family around and people who look like my daughter \u2014 that\u2019s important to me. She\u2019s obsessed with her curly hair, and if she finds someone who has the same hair, she runs to them and is like, \u2018You have curly hair like me?\u2019 And we get to talk about it.\u201d Kim makes sure to also speak openly about race with her family members as well \u2014 including North\u2019s BFF Penelope Disick, 5. \u201cWe also talk about it with my niece Penelope, because she and North look really different, but they\u2019re best friends and they\u2019re together all the time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Kim\u2019s reasoning for being so straightforward with her young children? \u201cWe want to raise our kids to be really aware. I think that\u2019s all you can do,\u201d she explained. \u201cThe more you talk about things and keep them out in the open, the more they won\u2019t be taboo. Kids are already so open. They say anything.
