Bachelor in Paradise reveals no details of alleged misconduct in painful episode:- After weeks of speculation, Bachelor in Paradise is going to jump into what happened between DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios that prompted an internal report of alleged misconduct, a pause in production and investigation, right? Wrong.<\/span><\/p>\n

If anything, host Chris Harrison and the cast discussed everything but the specifics of the incident. So if there are no answers, then what happened?<\/span><\/p>\n

The details of nothing<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Forty-five minutes into the second part of the Season 4 premiere, Harrison finally gets to the point \u2014 welcoming back the cast members who were evacuated from the island in the wake of the drama that transpired between DeMario and Corinne. But before these kids can find love again, they have to sit down and have an important conversation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chris Harrison launches in and asks the cast if they trust the conclusion production company Warner Bros. came to after their investigation, and the cast not only unanimously agreed that everything is fine, but that production on the show is wonderful. They continue on to argue that the production crew never pushes the cast to do anything — which is literally the job of producers because they\u2019re producing a television show, but sure.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, the contestants are responsible for what they say. But acting as if the producers have no influence is ludicrous. #BachelorInParadise<\/a><\/p>\n

That leads into a *very important episode* where Chris Harrison opens up a conversation on race, and when prompted with the right kind of questions, the cast agrees that DeMario was treated unfairly in the same way that first graders admit that doing something wrong. It\u2019s all very forced and unfortunate because you know the contestants are more eloquent than they\u2019re being portrayed.<\/span><\/p>\n

But in tackling race, Bachelor in Paradise decides to throw Corinne\u2019s statement aside, shrugging off that she referred to herself as a victim. The team then dives into a conversation about consent, when you can give it, and when you cannot. It\u2019s an important conversation, but the definition of talking points so heavily scripted it\u2019s painful.<\/span><\/p>\n

With one final vote, the cast unanimously decides to continue on with the season.<\/span><\/p>\n

To be weird and in love<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It turns out that only five couples have gotten married and managed to stay together from this franchise. And you best believe that on the eve of the sixth wedding, the show leaned in to remind viewers that it’s about love and not the potential sexual misconduct Bachelor in Paradise has based its promotional campaign around.<\/span><\/p>\n

But when Carly and Evan\u2019s wedding kicks off, it\u2019s all good vibes and topless musicians. Both the bride and groom share tears and awkward vows (I\u2019ll never stop exploring you?), but at the end of the day, the love feels real because Evan and Carly are weird. And weird is a good foundation for forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

The actual dates<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Derek gets the date card of the night and pulls Taylor aside, and you know what? Good for Taylor. She had a rough go on her season, but here she is, living her truth with Derek, and we respect that. It\u2019s one of the only relationships that carried over from episode one because Raven is feeling pretty ambivalent about everyone and Lacey is onto Iggy\u2019s games. That leaves adorable Dean and Katrina to keep the flame of love alive, and they start falling apart before the end of the episode. She retreats to the bar, and guess who is waiting there with open Santa Claus arms? Nick. Oh boy.<\/span><\/p>\n
