Only diplomats will be forced to leave the country, while Russian nationals affected by the cuts will lose their jobs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Sanctions vote<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Russia\u2019s decision came soon after the US Senate on 27 July overwhelmingly passed a bill, already approved by the House, that would prevent the president from easing sanctions without getting congressional approval, as well as open the way to even wider restrictions than the ones currently imposed over the Ukraine crisis. Trump hasn\u2019t signed the legislation, but the White House said he plans to.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Russia said it was responding to the US expulsion in December of 35 Russian diplomats in response to alleged hacking of the election. #000000\">The votes in the Congress on sanctions \u201crepresent the strong will of the American people to see Russia take steps to improve relations with the United States,\u201d secretary of state Rex Tillerson said in a statement on Saturday. \u201cWe hope that there will be cooperation between our two countries on major global issues and these sanctions will no longer be
