{"id":36412,"date":"2017-07-24T09:01:38","date_gmt":"2017-07-24T09:01:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.biphoo.com\/bipnews\/?p=36412"},"modified":"2017-07-24T09:06:26","modified_gmt":"2017-07-24T09:06:26","slug":"trump-speak-monday-health-care","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.biphoo.com\/bipnews\/lifestyle\/trump-speak-monday-health-care.html","title":{"rendered":"Trump to speak Monday on health care"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Trump to speak Monday on health care<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">President Trump on Monday will speak to the press at the White House about health care, minutes after meeting with what he calls \u201cvictims of Obamacare.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">The statement, announced late Sunday by the White House, comes nearly a week after Trump pressed Republican senators to agree to an alternative to the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare, before taking an August recess.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">At a White House lunch on Wednesday, he told lawmakers, \u201cI don&#8217;t think we should leave town unless we have a health insurance plan.&#8221; Trump added, &#8220;We shouldn&#8217;t leave town until this is complete, until this bill is on my desk.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">He also said Republicans who favor a delay in debating the legislation would signal that they are \u201cfine with Obamacare.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #000000;font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Trump is making an aggressive push on health care, in spite of the fact that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has been unable to secure enough support to repeal and replace President Obama\u2019s signature 2010 health care law.
