(bit.ly\/2oRorAi)<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:18px;\">The regulator said Gulfport, Mississippi-based Whitney Bank would assume all of First NBC&#39;s transactional deposits and branches. Whitney Bank will reopen 24 branches of First NBC in Louisiana and five branches as Hancock Bank in Florida.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:18px;\">&quot;No depositor is losing money as a result of this transaction,&quot; the FDIC said in a statement.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:18px;\">Whitney Bank also agreed to buy about $1 billion of First NBC&#39;s assets. The FDIC will retain the remaining assets for later disposition.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:18px;\">First NBC did not immediately respond to requests for comment.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"color:#000000;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:18px;\">First NBC, in February, had appointed Carl Chaney as CEO. Chaney was formerly with Whitney Bank&#39;s parent Hancock Holding Co (HBHC.O).
