{"id":21717,"date":"2017-02-09T07:44:48","date_gmt":"2017-02-09T07:44:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.biphoo.com\/bipnews\/?p=21717"},"modified":"2017-02-09T07:45:14","modified_gmt":"2017-02-09T07:45:14","slug":"south-korean-court-rules-against-nissan-in-emissions-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.biphoo.com\/bipnews\/business\/south-korean-court-rules-against-nissan-in-emissions-case.html","title":{"rendered":"South Korean court rules against Nissan in emissions case"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size:22px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">South Korean court rules against Nissan in emissions case<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:18px;\">South Korean court rules against Nissan in emissions case:- A South Korean court on Thursday ruled against Nissan Motor Co (7201.T) in an emissions case, siding with the government in its accusations that the Japanese automaker had used a so-called defeat device in its Qashqai sports utility model.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:18px;\">Nissan sued South Korea&#39;s environment ministry last year after it said the Qashqai cheated on emissions levels with the defeat device and fined it 330 million won ($279,900).<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:18px;\">It also ordered a recall of 814 Qashqai vehicles and halted sales of the model in the country.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\t<span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size:18px;\">South Korea is the only country to have accused Nissan of emissions cheating.
