Samsung Galaxy S8: Device Measurements Leaked, Rumored To Launch On April 15<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Samsung Galaxy S8: Device Measurements Leaked, Rumored To Launch On April 15:-<\/strong> Early renders of the Samsung Galaxy S8 just leaked this week along with the handset\u2019s measurements. A new report is also claiming that the South Korean manufacturer is planning to launch the smartphone on April 15.<\/span><\/p>\n

Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone will come in two variants, the Galaxy S8 and a larger Galaxy S8 Plus. Case renders show that the S8 Plus measures 152.38 x 78.51 x7.94mm. Simply put, the S8 Plus will be longer and wider than the S7 Edge because the display itself will be larger.<\/span><\/p>\n

The estimated size of the Galaxy S8 Plus will be 6.3-inches, as measured by GSM Arena. However, the actual display size could possibly be even larger since the display is expected to curve on the left and right sides.<\/span><\/p>\n

The regular Galaxy S8, on the other hand, measures 140.14 x 72.20 x 7.30mm. In comparison, the device is a tad shorter and thinner than the Galaxy S7, but it\u2019s still a bit wider. Not counting the curved sides, the S8\u2019s display up front is measured at 5.7-inches, already bigger than S7\u2019s 5.1-inch display and the S7 Edge\u2019s 5.5-inch display.<\/span><\/p>\n

If these are accurate, or at least close to accurate, the Galaxy S8 will have a larger display than the S7 Edge while still being nearly the same size of the Galaxy S7\u2019s body. It\u2019s also important to point out that both the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus have very small bezels on the top and bottom, but the sides appear to have little to no bezels at all.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus haven\u2019t been officially announced by Samsung yet, but it seems like consumers won\u2019t have to wait that long. Samsung is apparently planning on launching the phones on April 15, Saturday, according to the South Korean website ETNews.<\/span><\/p>\n

Samsung usually launches its latest flagship smartphones on Fridays. Last year, the Galaxy S7\u2019s launch took place on a Friday as well. ETNews also detailed that Samsung is focusing on improving the front-facing camera on the Galaxy S8 to appeal to younger buyers. The handset is said to come with an 8MP front-facing camera that will have integrated autofocus.<\/span><\/p>\n

As for the rear-facing main camera, Samsung won\u2019t be taking the same route as Apple. The Galaxy S8 won\u2019t come with a dual-camera setup as initially thought. The idea of dual cameras was apparently scrapped during the device\u2019s development stages.<\/span><\/p>\n
