Both are undeniably wonderful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\">Sturgill Simpson \u2014 \u201cCall to Arms\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sturgill Simpson \u2013 Call to Arms (Live at Farm Aid 2016)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/O9pCj3amEnE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\">Simpson\u2019s Grammy nod in the Best Album category for \u201cA Sailor\u2019s Guide to Earth\u201d came as a surprise only to people who hadn\u2019t heard it, and the finale is a scintillating shout of rage, written from the perspective of a veteran, and blended to a white-hot blend of country and Stax R&amp;B.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\">Danny Brown \u2014 \u201cReally Doe\u201d featuring Ab-Soul, Earl Sweatshirt and Kendrick Lamar<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\">The Detroit rapper put together an elite squad of emcees for this track (from the brilliant album \u201cAtrocity Exhibition\u201d) and it certainly paid off. But her album \u201cGlory\u201d had a couple of total embarrassments, such as this limp, saccharine-sounding attempt to get sexy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\">Iggy Azalea \u2014 \u201cTeam\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\">It\u2019s staggering that upon hearing her much-touted return track, no one around the Australian rapper took her to one side and pointed out it sounded virtually the same as all her other big singles \u2014 only worse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\">Lukas Graham \u2014 \u201c7 Years\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\">Mawkish, sentimental balladry from a group of anonymous Danes that seemed to fill the dour pop hole left by Ed Sheeran\u2019s hiatus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\">Fall Out Boy \u2014 \u201cGhostbusters\u201d featuring Missy Elliott<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/umsviPmjw20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/umsviPmjw20<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\">Let\u2019s be fair: The silly theme song to the original \u201cGhostbusters\u201d was barely tolerable. But after one listen to Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott\u2019s atrocious efforts on the 2016 re-recording, Ray Parker Jr.\u2019s first version sounds like Beethoven in comparison.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\"><strong>Lady Gaga \u2014 \u201cDancin\u2019 in Circles<\/strong>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;\">The New Yorker\u2019s much-trumpeted follow up to \u201cArtpop\u201d disappointed, but this track showed something close to desperation.
