And he certainly knew the Redskins are using a backup long snapper signed a day earlier because of an injury to Nick Sundberg. Not to mention all the PATs gone awry Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">9:30 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The never-ending debate over what, exactly, constitutes a catch \u2014 and what doesn&#8217;t \u2014 lives on in the NFL.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Jordy Nelson caught a 13-yard TD pass from Aaron Rodgers in the second quarter of Green Bay&#8217;s game at Washington on Sunday night, and a moment after the ball nestled into the receiver&#8217;s arms, cornerback Josh Norman knocked it away.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The ruling on the field was a catch and a score, making it 7-all, and the call stood after a review.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Judge the play for yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">8 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Russell Wilson threw for one touchdown and also caught a touchdown pass from Doug Baldwin as the Seattle Seahawks beat the Philadelphia Eagles 26-15.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In other late afternoon action, the Miami Dolphins rallied in the final minute to beat the Los Angeles Rams 14-10 and the New England Patriots beat the San Francisco 49ers 30-17.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">6:15 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A steady rain didn&#8217;t damper the halftime ceremony for former 49ers owner Edward DeBartolo Jr., who received his Hall of Fame &#8220;Ring of Excellence&#8221; while everyone held umbrellas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;I was told all these years I brought rain, thunder and lightning to this franchise, and I guess today proves it,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">6:05 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Jared Goff has had a quiet start to his NFL debut.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The No. 1 pick in the draft went 7 of 13 for 62 yards in the first half of his first start for the Los Angeles Rams. He made a couple of good-looking throws and also escaped the pocket adroitly, but he also was sacked once by Cameron Wake when he held onto the ball a bit too long.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Goff didn&#8217;t immediately fix the Rams&#8217; offense, which struggled yet again outside of two long runs by Gurley. The Indianapolis Colts held off the Tennessee Titans 24-17. The Cleveland Browns remained winless by falling 24-9 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Buffalo Bills beat the Cincinnati Bengals 16-12.
