The Slovenian native turned U.S. citizen told a suburban Philadelphia audience that Donald Trump wants to fix an American system that he thinks is broken.<\/span><\/p>\n

And she defended Trump, blasted during the campaign for everything from his call for a Mexican border wall to his sexist comments about women, as a good husband and father.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI have come here to talk about this man I have known for 18 years,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I have come today to talk about our partnership, our family, and what I know for sure in my heart about this man who will make America great again.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She specifically addressed the issue of Trump\u2019s insulting and sexist comments about women.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump \u201chas asked some simple but very important questions,\u201d she said \u2014 and one was \u201cdo you want a country that respects women and presents them with equal opportunity?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

As First Lady, the former fashion model said she would serve as \u201can advocate for women and children … I will also work hard to improve everyday life for women.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Melania\u2019s first stint on the campaign trail since the GOP convention in July was set for Berwyn, Pa., where she was tasked with countering the public image of her thrice-married husband.<\/span><\/p>\n

Though Pennsylvania is still leaning Clinton\u2019s way, recent polls indicated Trump is closing the gap there.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the state\u2019s Republican U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey refused to say Thursday whether he would vote for Trump on Election Day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s daughter Ivanka made a New Hampshire campaign appearance where she promised her dad would made \u201cradical leaps\u201d in wage equality for women \u2014 and he wouldn\u2019t stop there.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWomen\u2019s issues are jobs,\u201d she said. \u201cWomen\u2019s issues are security. Women\u2019s issues are the major issues affecting this country.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

New Hampshire is another of the undecided swing states in the election.<\/span><\/p>\n

Donald Trump does not possess merely the right disposition for the Oval Office \u2014 he\u2019s got the best one.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m honored to have the greatest temperment that anyone\u2019s ever had,\u201d the GOP presidential candidate boasted Thursday during a Florida campaign appearance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump, whose critics frequently question his capacity to lead the nation, staked his claim during a stump speech in Pensacola.<\/span><\/p>\n

All is apparently not forgiven between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Texas senator hit the campaign trail with Trump running mate Mike Pence for a rally outside Des Moines, Iowa \u2014 but he failed to mention the GOP ticket\u2019s presidential candidate.<\/span><\/p>\n

The closest Cruz came to giving Trump the thumbs-up in his 14-minute speech was a declaration that \u201cwe\u2019re going to defeat Hillary Clinton in the presidential election.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

When both men sought the Republican nomination, Trump referred to Cruz as \u201cLyin\u2019 Ted,\u201d suggested Cruz\u2019s father played a role in the JFK assassination, and tweeted an unflattering picture of Cruz\u2019s wife.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cruz, in return, called Trump \u201ca pathological liar\u201d and a \u201cserial philanderer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Donald Trump, in a second straight day of Florida campaigning, delivered a withering Thursday attack on Hillary Clinton \u2014 and a quick shot at President Obama.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Republican nominee, mounting a last-ditch charge in the presidential campaign\u2019s final five days, repeatedly invoked the ongoing Clinton email scandal and denounced his opponent as \u201cCrooked Hillary.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

If Clinton never faces charges over her emails while Secretary of State, Trump said, remember one thing: \u201cThe system is rigged.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump left Florida for a pair of appearances in North Carolina.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both states remain up for grabs, and a Trump triumph in Tuesday\u2019s election appears impossible unless he can carry Florida and North Carolina.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before heading north, Trump squeezed in a jab at President Obama \u2014 who was rallying the Clinton troops at Florida International University in Miami.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s down here campaigning for Crooked Hillary,\u201d said Trump. \u201cWhy isn\u2019t he back in the office … bringing our jobs back and helping our veterans? Why?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s full-court press for for Florida\u2019s 29 electoral votes began with Wednesday stops in Miami, Orlando and Pensacola.<\/span><\/p>\n

The GOP presidential candidate started his Thursday efforts by promoting wife Melania\u2019s scheduled afternoon speech in Pennsylvania \u2014 where polls show Trump closing the gap on front-runner Clinton.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo exciting, big crowds!\u201d Trump tweeted about his wife\u2019s appearance with vice presidential candidate Mike Pence\u2019s wife, Karen. \u201cI will be watching from North Carolina.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
