Desperate search for gunman after 2 Oklahoma officers shot 2 others dead<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Desperate search for gunman after 2 Oklahoma officers shot two others dead: –<\/strong> A manhunt was under way in Oklahoma Monday for a suspect accused of shooting and wounding two police officers with an AK-47 and stealing their patrol car, as investigators found his aunt and uncle dead in a home where he’d apparently been hiding.<\/span><\/p>\n

The suspect, Michael Vance, allegedly shot one Wellston police officer in the foot and another in the legs. Doctors released both officers from the hospital, KOCO-TV reported.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vance also has a “medical condition” and “may try to spread disease,” the Oklahoma Highway Patrol announced without elaborating. KWTV reported he has HIV\/AIDS.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lincoln County Sheriff said authorities were called to a report of shots fired. When officers arrived at the scene, Vance approached them and started firing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vance and an alleged accomplice then stole a police car and drove to a nearby mobile home park, authorities said. Officers eventually arrested the second man, the sheriff said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vance carjacked a woman, shot her and drove off, according to investigators. The woman was injured but she was not taken to the hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oklahoma City television station KWTV reported that Vance posted two videos Sunday night on Facebook Live documenting his run from police. The Associated Press couldn’t immediately verify the videos, and the Lincoln County sheriff didn’t immediately return a message Monday morning regarding the videos.<\/span><\/p>\n

In one video, a man wearing a backward baseball cap says he’s about to steal another vehicle and that it’s “gonna be intense.” In another, the same man says: “Letting y’all know, look, this is real” before panning across the vehicle to show a long gun on the passenger seat.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said: “If you want to know what’s up next, stay tuned to your local news.” The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says authorities believe Vance is driving a silver 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse with a blue roof. Vance is described as Native American, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 212 pounds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vance had been released from the Lincoln County Jail recently. He was held on child sexual assault allegations.<\/span><\/p>\n
