Subsequently, multiple women have come forward alleging Trump sexually assaulted or harassed them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">In response to the video, Ryan disinvited Trump from a scheduled joint appearance in Wisconsin on Oct. 8. On Monday, he announced that he would no longer defend Trump, after repeatedly condemning his offensive remarks while nonetheless standing by him as the nominee. Ryan told fellow Republicans that he wants to instead focus on maintaining GOP control of the House, fearing the presidential nominee\u2019s effect on competitive House seats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Trump fired back, calling Ryan \u201cvery weak and ineffective\u201d and insisting that he didn\u2019t \u201ccare about his support.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Ryan has largely been silent on Trump since distancing himself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Trump is scheduled to campaign in Wisconsin on Monday.
