Lady Gaga Has a New Post-Breakup Look and It\u2019s All About Crop Tops and Short Shorts<\/strong> : At this point in her career, the name Lady Gaga is pretty much synonymous with outlandish, unwearable outfits. Whether it\u2019s that divisive meat dress, the towering platform heel-less heels, that dress composed of decapitated Kermits, or being escorted into the Grammys inside of a giant plastic egg, it seems safe to say the pop star\u2019s closet probably doesn\u2019t look quite like anyone else\u2019s on planet Earth. <\/span><\/p>\n

Although she went through a brief glamour puss phase while on tour with Tony Bennett, after breaking up with her longtime fianc\u00e9 Taylor Kinney, the singer appears to be turning over a new style leaf, a leaf composed exclusively out of tiny crop tops and even tinier short shorts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the past month or so, Gaga has been spotted non-stop in one iteration of this body-baring look after the next. Most recently, the pop legend stepped out in a head-to-toe look straight out of her latest music video, \u201cPerfect Illusion,\u201d wearing a pair of silver sequin, semi-sheer, frayed tap shorts with a black bra, a grey top cropped to expose just the right amount of under boob, and a very dapper fedora. She\u2019s also clearly found a new favorite set of shades and ankle boots, sporting the same pair of pitch-black circle sunnies and point-toe Chelsea boots almost every time she\u2019s been photographed in public.<\/span><\/p>\n

This new trend started innocently enough towards the end of August with the \u201cBorn This Way\u201d singer casually donning a pair of Daisy Dukes here and there paired with a variety of tops, but it soon became clear that this wasn\u2019t just some simple fashion choice, it\u2019s a way of life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps after her TV debut in American Horror Story she was simply exhausted from dressing to the nines day in and day out and decided to take things back to basics, i.e. just wearing what is essentially a bra top and underwear. Gaga has clearly taken her own music to heart this summer, as her choice in apparel can best be summarized by the lyrics, \u201cFashion! Looking good and feeling fine\/Sweat, sweat.\u201d However, we look forward to seeing how the diva transitions this highly seasonal attire into the chilly, winter months ahead. If anyone can make it work, obviously it\u2019s Mother Monster.<\/span><\/p>\n
