‘America’s Got Talent’ recap: Mandel says Grace VanderWaal ‘has to win’<\/strong> : Grace VanderWaal and Jon Dorenbos continued to look like the acts to beat as \u201cAmerica\u2019s Got Talent\u201d is just hours away from revealing its $1 million winner.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 12 year-old singer-songwriter from Suffern, New York \u2014 closed Tuesday night\u2019s live performance episode with yet another original song, \u201cClay.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Her lyrics are hard to understand at times, but the sixth grader has appeared to be the act to beat all season.<\/span><\/p>\n

She advanced through the early part of the competition by earning judge Howie Mandel\u2019s golden buzzer and Simon Cowell\u2019s label as \u201cthe next Taylor Swift.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGrace has to win,\u201d Mandel declared on Tuesday.\u00a0 \u201cThis is my favorite moment of the night.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

But she could face a serious challenge from NFL star and magician Dorenboss.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Philadelphia Eagles long snapper wowed the \u2018AGT\u2019 judges again \u2014 this time with an up close card trick and a touching story about how magic changed his life.<\/span><\/p>\n

(The Pro Bowler was raised by an aunt after his father was sentenced to 13 years in prison for murdering John\u2019s mother.)<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYou are more than just a great performer,\u201d judge Simon Cowell praised. \u201cYou are someone who I think we would all be glad to say, \u2018The winner of this show is John Dorenbos.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Also among the Top 10 finalists competing Tuesday were: teen opera singer Laura Bretan, music quartet Linkin\u2019 Bridge, crooner Sal Valentinetti, mentalist duo The Clairvoyants, singer Brian Justin Crum, contortionist Sofie Dossi, juggler Viktor Kee and prop comic Tape Face.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ultimate winner will be decided by America\u2019s vote.<\/span><\/p>\n

The season 11 champion will be revealed Wednesday evening on NBC.<\/span><\/p>\n
