Missing 13-year-old Shevy McGiffin found dead in stream near Pennsylvania home after buying coloring book<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Missing 13-year-old Shevy McGiffin found dead in stream near Pennsylvania home after buying coloring book<\/strong> : A 13-year-old Pennsylvania girl whose disappearance sparked a two-day search was found dead in a stream near her Clarion home Sunday afternoon, authorities said.<\/span><\/p>\n

A search party found the body of missing teenager Shevy McGiffin just before 4 p.m. while combing a forest along the Clarion River, officials with Pennsylvania State Police said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The girl vanished around 6:45 p.m. Friday during what should have been a three minute between her home along Fraternity Dr. in Clarion and the Dollar General along 5th Ave.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her father, Andrew Schneider, broke down in tears while holding a flyer with a picture of his missing daughter early Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said cashiers at the Dollar General store saw Shevy buy a coloring book Friday night.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the last time she was seen,\u201d Schneider said.<\/span><\/p>\n

A member of the Clarion Volunteer Fire Department who joined the search party found Shevy in a small creek known as Trout Run that flows into the Clarion River about a mile from the girl\u2019s home, police said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shevy\u2019s mother fears her daughter was abducted and said she was seen talking to a man in a Buick, she told WPXI-TV.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMy world right now is not complete without my babyygirl (sic),\u201d Shevy\u2019s mother Tina McGiffin wrote in a heartfelt message to Facebook earlier on Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n

State police did not elaborate how Shevy died or how she and said her death is still under investigation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her autopsy is scheduled for Monday, the Pittsburgh television station reported.<\/span><\/p>\n
