Trump Is Right, the 2016 Election Is Rigged<\/strong>\u2014in Favor of Republicans : Trevor Noah, a<\/span>s his poll numbers continue to plummet, Donald Trump has resorted to pushing conspiracy theories about how he expects the 2016 election will be \u201crigged\u201d against him. On Monday night, The Daily Show\u2019s Trevor Noah said he might just be right\u2014but not for the reason he thinks he is.<\/span><\/p>\n

But first, Noah had to talk about how Donald Trump managed to work the word \u201ctitties\u201d into his big economic speech in Detroit earlier in the day. \u201cWhat makes it the funniest is that now,\u201d the host said, \u201ceveryone is focusing on the fact that Donald Trump said \u2018titties\u2019 instead of focusing on the fact that his economic policy is going bankrupt America with tax cuts for the rich and tons of new debt!\u201d<\/span>
\n<\/a>After catching his viewers up on what \u201cCinnamon Hitler\u201d has been up to over the past week while The Daily Show was on hiatus, including fighting with Gold Star families and kicking babies out of rallies, Noah concluded it was Trump\u2019s \u201coutlandish\u201d prediction about a \u201crigged\u201d election that should garner the most attention.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDonald Trump is right,\u201d Noah said. \u201cWe\u2019ve uncovered evidence of election rigging throughout the system.\u201d For instance, he cited gerrymandering and voter suppression laws, both of which have been designed by Republican state legislatures to benefit conservative candidates.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI know some people might say we need these laws to protect from voter fraud, but voter fraud isn\u2019t actually a problem,\u201d Noah said. Out of 20 million votes cast in Texas during the decade before that state passed its voter ID law, there were only two convictions for voter fraud. \u201cMore people have been Trump\u2019s wife,\u201d Noah joked.<\/span><\/p>\n

While this type of widespread vote \u201crigging\u201d is shocking, Noah added, \u201cLuckily there is someone who has seen something and is saying it. And that man is Donald Trump.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cYou know what I admire about Donald Trump? He would never stand for a rigged system,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd we learned that about him after he won in the primaries.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Cut to Trump just two days after he secured the Republican nomination in Indiana: \u201cYou\u2019ve been hearing me say it\u2019s a rigged system, but now I don\u2019t say it anymore because I won. Now I don\u2019t care!\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n
