She filed the request shortly after filing for divorce from the actor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; color: #000000;\">On Saturday, Heard arrived at family law attorney Laura Wasser\u2019s Century City, California office for the deposition at 11:30 a.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; color: #000000;\">The deposition has been scheduled and postponed several times. Depp\u2019s lawyers alleged in a legal response that Heard \u201cis attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse.\u201d (Depp is also scheduled for a deposition.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; color: #000000;\">L.A. certified family law specialist Steve Mindel told PEOPLE the deposition, in which the opposing side\u2019s lawyers can question Heard as she provides pre-trial testimony, is \u201call about boxing the person in to a story.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; color: #000000;\">\u201cThe case will be won or lost on the stand in trial, when you can expose those inconsistencies,\u201d Mindel said. \u201cAnd if you can string enough of those together, then the person could lose credibility in the eyes of the judge.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; color: #000000;\">An insider told PEOPLE that Depp is ready to move past both his ongoing divorce from Heard and the case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; color: #000000;\">\u201cIt\u2019s a very sad situation for him,\u201d the source said. \u201cHe feels stressed about all the Amber drama \u2026 He never anticipated getting a divorce.
