Lucie \u0160af\u00e1\u0159ov\u00e1 and Barbora Str\u00fdcov\u00e1 of the Czech Republic dominated the Williams sisters from the start, winning 6-3, 6-4 in straight sets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Venus and Serena entered the match an unblemished 15-0 in the Olympics, claiming the gold medal in women&#8217;s doubles every time they stepped on the court: 2000 in Sydney, 2008 in Beijing and 2012 in London.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Earlier in the day, Serena Williams made quick work of her first-round singles match, cruising past Australia\u2019s unseeded Daria Gavrilova 6-4, 6-2.
